Siem Reap
The Cambodia Landmine Museum is located 25 kilometers north of Siem Reap, near the Banteay Srei Temple complex, within Angkor National Park.
Founded by former child soldier Aki Ra, the Cambodia Landmine Museum serves as a powerful educational and humanitarian institution. The museum showcases a variety of defused ordnance, including anti-personnel mines, anti-tank mines, and unexploded ordnance. It educates visitors about the long-lasting consequences of landmine contamination and emphasizes the importance of demining efforts. The museum also provides rehabilitation services for children affected by landmines, offering education, counseling, and vocational training.
The museum is open daily from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
The museum is accessible by car or tuk-tuk from Siem Reap. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Tuk-tuk drivers are familiar with the location and typically wait for visitors to finish their tour before returning to town.
