Our first stop is Koh Ker, a former capital of the Khmer Empire during the 10th century. Here, prepare to be awestruck by Prasat Thom, the magnificent seven-tiered pyramid temple. Climb the recently restored wooden walkways (proper attire required: knees and shoulders covered) and be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding jungle. Marvel at the intricate carvings that adorn the temple walls, depicting scenes from Hindu mythology and daily life in the Khmer Empire. A Serene Picnic Lunch (Not Included): After exploring Koh Ker, we'll enjoy a delicious picnic lunch (not Included) amidst the serene natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. Unlike the more restored temples of Angkor Wat, Beng Melea offers a glimpse into the past, showcasing the relentless power of nature reclaiming its space. Beng Melea provides a unique opportunity for photography enthusiasts.
