The performers at Phare are graduates of Phare Ponleu Selpak, a non-profit arts school that provides disadvantaged Cambodian youth with free education and training in the arts. Through mesmerizing acrobatics, stunning visual effects, and compelling narratives, each show tells a story rooted in Cambodian culture, history, and contemporary life.

Phare is conveniently located near central Siem Reap. It’s a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride from Pub Street or the Old Market area. Private transport and taxis are also available.

The venue opens 2 hours prior to show time, with Cambodian street food, drink specials, shopping and pre-show entertainment. It’s best to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the show start time to be able to check-in and get comfortably seated in the big top before the show starts. Guests with Section C tickets often start lining up 45 minutes before show time. For the safety of the artists and the comfort of other guests, no entrance is permitted after the show starts.

Advance reservations are strongly recommended. The big top is full most evenings. Sections A and B often sell out well in advance. Walk-ins are welcome, subject to availability.
No, Phare does not provide or arrange transportation services. Tuk tuks are plentiful all around Siem Reap and stationed at most hotels and guest houses.
Yes, there are tuk tuks available in the parking area after the show. These are independent drivers and negotiate their own prices.
All tuk tuk drivers are independent entrepreneurs. Prices depend on the distance from where you start and is negotiable. Generally, prices range from US$3 – US$5 each way from most places around Siem Reap.
Changes and refunds are permitted up to 1 day prior to the show date.
The shows are enjoyed by guests of all ages. The stories are inspired by the real-life experiences of its creators and performers and deal with themes such as war, discrimination, relationships, poverty and ghosts. Some performances contain smoke, loud noises, music and strobe lights. Parents know their children best, whether they might be affected. Absolutely! Guests are welcome to take photos and videos during the show. We hope that the photos and videos shorter than 3 minutes will be shared on social media tagging @PhareCircus (Twitter) or @PhareCambodianCircus (Facebook, Instagram, G+). It’s a great help building more awareness and attracting more guests to the show so that we can keep the artists working. The flash must be turned off as flash is distracting and dangerous for the artists.
There are MasterCool evaporative coolers, oscillating fans and air conditioning units throughout the big top, however it still gets warm. Comfortable clothing suitable for warm weather is recommended.
There are many ways you can help. Buy tickets to see our show, or book our performers to entertain at group and corporate events.
