4:35 AM - Your guide or driver will pick you up from your hotel. Be sure to have a light breakfast or snack if needed, as you'll be heading directly to Angkor Wat.
You’ll arrive at Angkor Wat, one of the largest and most impressive temple complexes in the world. This early arrival allows you to witness the sunrise over the temple, offering a breathtaking and serene view. Take your time exploring the intricate carvings and grand architecture.
After visiting Angkor Wat, proceed to the Tonle Om Gate. This gate is part of the Angkor Thom complex and is notable for its historical and architectural significance. It serves as an entrance to the ancient city of Angkor Thom.
Next, head to Bayon Temple, renowned for its many serene and smiling stone faces. Bayon is located in the center of Angkor Thom and is famous for its elaborate bas-reliefs and unique facial sculptures. Spend some time marveling at the intricate details and the temple’s historical context.
Enjoy a traditional breakfast at a local restaurant house. This is a great opportunity to sample Cambodian cuisine and recharge after your morning exploration. Traditional breakfast options might include noodle soups, rice dishes, or tropical fruits.
After breakfast, visit the Khmoth Gate, also known as the Death Gate, which is another entry point within the Angkor Thom complex. From there, proceed to Ta Prohm, a temple famous for its entwining tree roots and its role in the film “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.” The temple is known for its picturesque ruins and the way nature has intertwined with the ancient stone structures.
After exploring Ta Prohm, you’ll head back to your hotel. You’ll have the rest of the day to relax or continue exploring on your own.
As this tour is private you can let us know your prefer pick up time but usually we start at 8 am. We'll pick you up from your hotel at the beginning of the tour and drop you off there afterward.
