Important Notes:
We will start at 08:00 am. Pick-up from your hotel in Siem Reap. The ride from Siem Reap to Kbal Spean about 50 minutes. And arrive at Kbal Spean around 09.00 am, located approximately 45 kilometers from Siem Reap. This is the starting point for your trek to the 1000 Lingas. -9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Hike up the Kbal Spean plateau. The trail is moderately challenging with some steep sections and uneven terrain. Wear sturdy shoes and comfortable clothing. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the surrounding forest and keep an eye out for interesting flora and fauna. -11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Explore the River of 1,000 Lingas. Hundreds of intricately carved Lingas (Hindu representations of Shiva) and other deities are etched into the sandstone riverbed. Your guide will explain the history and significance of this sacred site.
-12:30 PM: Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch (not Included) at a scenic spot overlooking the river. -1:30 PM - 2:30 PM: Drive to Banteay Srei, a breathtaking temple renowned for its intricate pink sandstone carvings. Banteay Srei means "Citadel of Women," though the reason behind this name remains a mystery. -2:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Wander through the temple complex, marveling at the detailed artistry and learning about its history from your guide. -3:30 PM - 4:30 PM: Head to the Cambodia Landmine Museum. Founded by Aki Ra, a former child soldier who lost a leg to a landmine, the museum educates visitors about the devastating impact of landmines on Cambodia. You'll see unexploded ordnance and learn about the ongoing demining efforts. -5:00 PM: Return to your hotel in Siem Reap.
