Siem Reap, Cambodia – September 12, 2024 – The Angkor Institute is pleased to announce significant reforms to the Angkor Pass sales operation and inspection process, effective October 9, 2024. These changes aim to streamline the visitor experience and enhance the efficiency of Angkor Pass management.
Key Reforms:

- Simplified 1-Day Angkor Pass: For international tourists purchasing a 1-day Angkor Pass, the requirement for personal information such as photos, nationality, age group, and gender will be completely eliminated.
- Reduced Information for Multi-Day Passes: For 3-day and 7-day Angkor Passes, only photos will be required until December 31, 2024. Nationality, age, and gender information will no longer be collected during this period.
- Decentralized Inspection: The Angkor Pass checkpoint will be relocated from various points within the Angkor Archeology park to the entrance of each individual temple. This change will reduce congestion and improve the overall flow of visitors.
These reforms are part of the Angkor Institute's ongoing efforts to provide a more convenient and enjoyable experience for visitors to the Angkor complex. By simplifying the Angkor Pass process and decentralising inspections, we aim to enhance the efficiency of our operations and better serve the needs of our guests.
